Margaret E. Saxon, MA, NBCC, LPC, AAPC
Margaret E. (Peg) Saxon operates an outpatient counseling office located in Frazer, Pennsylvania, where she provides counseling for a variety of mental health issues.
Professional Services: Individual, Group, Couples counseling, Pastoral/Christian counseling, Grief and Loss counseling, Drug and Alcohol counseling and Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) in Frazer, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Individual Therapy: Sessions can focus on co-dependency, low self-esteem, abuse, relationship, or grief and loss issues. Use of a variety of therapies, including Reality, Rational Emotive Behavioral, Cognitive Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy can help reveal the self-defeating thoughts that keep you from fulfilling your dreams and achieving your goals. These self-defeating thoughts also cause depression, anxiety, and lack of development of a positive outlook on life. Counseling can also explore the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse, dual diagnosis, and the behaviors associated with relapse.
Couples Therapy: A fulfilling couples relationship can make each person happier in life, and improve each individual’s health -- thereby making a happier couple. Couples’ sessions focus on interpersonal issues, effective communication skills, and resolution of past conflicts which continue to affect the quality of the relationship.
Grief and Loss Issues: Do you need to grieve a loss and let it go? Possibly you have a complicated grief response that keeps you from progressing with your life. Perhaps the failure to confront issues of grief and loss have resulted in or increased patterns of addiction to alcohol or drugs. We all need to deal with the pain and loss in our lives – it needs to be discussed so that the “letting go” can occur.
Pastoral Counseling: Many people are looking for the development of their spirituality or for resolution of spiritual issues. A closeness to God, whether or not it involves the practice of organized religion is helpful for achieving fullness of life. Perhaps you’ve been hurt by religious practices of those who are important to you and this is keeping you in spiritual confusion. Perhaps Pastoral counseling will be able to help you examine the beliefs that you learned from others and decide whether or not they pertain to your life today.
Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET): When used in conjunction with counseling, NET seeks, by a combination of muscle testing and cutaneous pressure to the nervous system, to allow the body to “extinguish” the origins of emotional trauma.
